Electrification U.S.

Thanks to the huge success of the Electrification 2018 International Expo, the following year Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) created a localized Symposium Series in three major American cities: Berkeley, CA; Brooklyn, NY; and San Antonio, TX. A recognized leader in the field of electrical power, EPRI’s 2019 U.S. Symposiums covered geographically specific issues and solutions for end-use electrification in both business and residential markets.

Each of the three cities featured different issues and topics specific to their regions, so the event design needed to work individually for each city and together as a whole. Building off the full color spectrum design from the International Conference, we chose three distinct color ranges so each city would have its own identity and also signal the relation to the larger expo from the year before.

The Berkeley Symposium kicked off the series of two-day summits, and addressed Decarbonization in California and the Western U.S, from grid infrastructure to electric cars, befitting its location in greater Silicon Valley.

The Brooklyn Symposium focused on Pathways to Decarbonization in the Northeast, and addressed everything from reducing emissions to handing over the future to the next generation.

The final Symposium took place in San Antonio, with a broader focus on the entire electrification experience, choosing to home in on the connection between the customer and their electrification needs.
